The 48 year old pimp allen Brown was not remorseful. If anything, he was proud of his career as a pimp. This morning, NJ.com reported an interview with Allen Brown who was sentenced 18 years in jail. Allen pleaded guilty to running a major human trafficking and prostitution ring in April 2010. According to a report, he forced more than 40 women into prostitution. The women were forced to meet $500 quota during the weekdays and $1000 quota on weekends. If they fail to meet quota, they were denied the access to the house and drug abuse.
How He lured the women
Allen Brown lured the women as young as 17 years old to work for him as sex slaves. He recruited the women from bus stations in major cities including Philadelphia and Atlantic city. He proposed dinner dates in New York City to the victims and promised them a taste of a good life. He also gave out drugs to the women to create their dependency on him. Since 1990, many women were lured into a life of prostitution after their cell phones and personal identification forms taken away from them. Then, they were forced into prostitution to meet $500 quota on a week day and $1000 on weekends. But if the victims fail to meet the quota, the victims were locked out of the house, subject to be beaten on their faces, and denied the drug use.
Allen is proud but not remorseful
Regardless of the damages he caused to these women's dignities and lives, one report says that Allen Brown was rather surprised at 18 years jail sentence by the judge. During the interview with another reporter, Allen Brown rather portrayed himself as "a dark night" and a father figure to the women he kept as slaves. Brown started pimping on women when he was in grade school. One prostitute asked him to become her pimp, and Brown received $500 from the prostitute for pimping. When he was in high school, he had three women that he was pimping on. Brown said that they were "already high school prostitutes on their wills" and that they were helping him live large. He further bragged about 42 women that he was pimping on. He also justified his actions as follows:
They had the right to choose if they wanted to be with me or be with some gorilla pimp that was probably busting their heads openThey needed to sit down and talk to someone who would totally understand them - let them know that even though they were in this life, there would be better days ahead with me
He also continued to make remarks referring the victims as his properties by calling them as "my girl."
Materialism is everything for Allen
Allen Brown is, at maximum, delusional. During the interview, Allen Brown mentioned that he wanted to be a pastor because he has "never been a follower but always been a leader." He said that according to his mother, he had a gift to become a minister. He also said that his mother did not understand that he was "saving lives" as a pimp. His statement, however shows that he was and [still is] nothing but being a confused 42 year old boy who thought that saving a life means accomplishing a materialistic life styles even if one has to sell one's dignity and bodies. But, Allen Brown is only one of many byproducts in our society, where materialism became a justification for everything. Whether Allen Brown misguided by his twisted value system or his immorality, children and women are forced into slavery because of these people. How should we prevent more people from being forced into sex slavery by a man like Allen Brown?
