A US man who imprisoned a 19-year-old homeless woman and advertised her online as a prostitute has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
David Brown, 32, from New York, paid $2000 to an ex-girlfriend to buy the woman, who had been kidnapped.
Brown then advertised her for sex on online classifieds site Craigslist, the New York Daily Newsreported.
The woman was forced to have sex with 30 men over a 12-day period in August 2008, with Brown collecting payments of between $68 and $228 for each encounter.
In convicting Brown for sex trafficking, kidnapping and other charges, Judge Michael Aloise described him as "a con man of the first order".
"I'm going to do my best to insure that you never see the light of day again."
Brown had pleaded not guilty to the charges, claiming his ex-girlfriend had set him up for the crim
