NORTH AMERICA
Canada: Ontario tells Craigslist to shut down its adult service section. Since several governors have asked Craigslist to remove the adult section, the CEO of Craigslist asked the governors for a meeting. Still, the authorities urged Craigslist to remove adult section just as it did in the U.S. prior to the meeting.
Georgia: Police arrested a 56 year old executive and charged him with having sex with a minor. Police suspects that the minor may be part of a prostitution ring. Police said that he paid $600 to the minor's pimp while she only received $200 from the pimp.
LATIN AMERICA
Mexico: A female fugitive wanted by the U.S. authorities was captured by the police yesterday. She was charged with human trafficking, kidnapping, and drug smuggling in the U.S. Police didn't say which agency issued a warrant, but the arrest was made as a result of cooperation among multiple agencies.
ASIA
UAE:  Police arrested ten people in relation to several human trafficking cases and a prostitution ring in Sharjah. According to the report, the ringleader is a Bangladeshi national and was arrested while attempting to sell a Filipino woman for more than $2100.
Bangladesh: A Catholic charity group fights against human trafficking in Bangladesh. According to the report, the organization held seminars to raise the awareness of human trafficking among the local residences. Human trafficking is high in winter because the border control is lax due to the cold weather. Many women and children from rural area are lured into promise of jobs or a marriage.
China: The members of baby trafficking ring were sentenced up to ten years in jail. They were convicted of selling four babies between 2008 and 2009. One member of the ring was a father of one infant victim. Four of the members were arrested while transferring four baby girls to the customers.
AFRICA
Uganda; Uganda girls are lured into prostitution in South Sudan Capital. At the child protection unit in Atiak, fifteen parents have reported that their daughters have gone to Sudan and asked for the authority's intervention. The girls are in the age between 11 and only one of them returned home.
