General Security announced Friday the arrest of a Lebanese man on
suspicion of fraud and human trafficking. A statement said that Aa.Sh.
admitted to belonging to a criminal network that engages in human
trafficking across Lebanon and Syria. Lebanese security forces have been
cracking down on traffickers since the country began demanding entry
permits for Syrians in an attempt to stem the flow of refugees. General
Security said the network forged hotel reservations which allowed
Syrians to obtain entry permits.
