Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on co-operation with the Arab Democracy Foundation (ADF) to strengthen the efforts of the two parties and to establish relations between them in the fight against trafficking in human beings. The memorandum of understanding was signed for Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking by its director-general Maryam al-Maliki and for ADF by its secretary general Dr Mohsen Marzouq. Under the terms of the memorandum, the two parties agreed to co-operate in the fight against trafficking in human beings and on issues related to democracy and its role in the fight against trafficking in human beings, as well as organise training programmes, events and activities related to training of personnel in both institutions. The MoU also provided for the organising and holding of conferences, seminars and workshops related to the field of democracy and its role in the fight against trafficking in human beings, the exchange of experiences, visits and representation at related workshops and symposiums, in addition to exchanging information, expertise and research on the role of democracy and its impact in the fight against human trafficking crimes. |
