Six Suspects Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Clearwater and Largo Police worked detail to arrest six suspects prostitution related crimes.
Woman with birth dates spanning five decades all were arrested and charged as suspects participating in the world’s oldest profession Thursday (Aug. 11).
Clearwater and Largo police arrested and charged six women with prostitution and related crimes in areas with a long history of complaints by residents and businesses, according to Elizabeth Watts, spokeswoman for Clearwater police.

Clearwater and Largo Police worked undercover in various areas along Gulf to Bay Boulevard, North Ft. Harrison Avenue and Clearwater-Largo Road, Watts said in a release.

Natasha Ross, 21, of Clearwater, was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution and battery. She previously was arrested for throwing a deadly missile.

Mary Anne Nachman, 37, of Largo, was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution.

Angel Harding, 20, of Clearwater, was arrested and charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution. She was previously arrested for resisting an officer with violence in March 2010, according to Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office records.

Brittney Franklin, 24, was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution.

Winnie Johnson, 51, of Clearwater, was arrested and charged with loitering with the intent of prostitution.

Melissa Thorne, 33, of Clearwater, was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution and violation of probation possession of cocaine.
