New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) Four human traffickers, including a woman, were arrested as they were bringing 13 minors from Jharkhand to the capital, police said Saturday adding that all the minors have been rescued.
Out of 13 minors, 12 are girls.
Police swung into action when it received information from an NGO that the children were being brought to Delhi on the Jharkhand Sampark Kranti Express Friday.
‘We had already deployed our teams at various places at New Delhi Railway Station and nabbed the culprits when the train arrived around 9:30 p.m. All the children were rescued,’ said a police official.
The accused, who are also from Jharkhand, have been identified as Sunita Devi, 25, Manish Munda, 25, Sanjay Bah, 30 and Munna Munda, 35.
‘We are trying to ascertain whether the children were brought here for flesh trade or to make them work,’ added the police official.
