Guards at a prison in the Russian republic of Tatarstan have caught a cat attempting to sneak 15 grams of heroin to an inmate.
The drug was fastened to the animal’s collar, reports the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
The feral cat was often fed by one of the prisoners. Several days ago his accomplices managed to catch the animal and kept it without food.
The cat, wearing the heroin-loaded collar went straight to the cell where it knew it would be fed. However guards had received a tip off about the smuggling attempt and intercepted the cat.
