S.O.S. Refugees in Italy. Human beings are not animals

Milan, April 10, 2011. Italy has deported a group of Tunisian refugees and is about to repatriate even more, people who may well be entitled to international protection since they have fled from conflict and persecution. UNHCR must not remain silent and tolerate this abuse or the Geneva Convention will become just a meaningless document. Yesterday Eritrean refugees; today Tunisians; tomorrow, all nationalities. EveryOne Group expresses its bitterness and pain over the silence and indifference of the international institutions and will continue to seek justice, through the use of civil actions and humanitarian campaigns. The world must respect the rights of refugees!
